FairTrade Designers has been in Ghana, again.
This time with the purpose of working with the sustainable wood company Samartex, located in Samreboi in the rainforest in Western Region. Our primary goal was to carry out prototypes based on our designs for the cooperation project with DIPP (Danish Import Promotion Program, Dansk Erhverv).
Accommodated in a beautiful guesthouse and with a private driver and house help the setup was perfect. The collaboration with the carving department; EcoCraft was intense, educational and the result very satisfactory.
Back in Denmark with all the wooden prototypes we will make the final decision about which model to start off in production.
