FairTrade Designers was formed in 2007. Its members are furniture and product designers Pil Bredahl, Liselotte Risell & Henriette Melchiorsen. They all graduated from The Danish school of Art and Design as industrial designers in 1996. The group was formed out off a wish to make a positive change by using design as leverage for global and social change, where the excessive consumption of the West might benefit some of the world’s neediest people.
