What traditions will survive?

In the small mountain villages in the Chinese province of Yunnan, the ethnic minority women has for generations made wonderful PATTERN BOOK for embroidery.

The books contain colorful deco’s designed by the women, drawn in the books on folded pages that holds threads for sewing.

FairTrade Designers find this tradition inspiring and wants to see embroidery survive and develop in the world of today. Therefore FTD work with the craftwomen and trade for their crafts

Should this handicraft be a memory in a museum?
